Why we do this
From the worksites of Japan to the next industrial shift.
As AI moves into the physical world, we believe the scarcest input will be data from real work. A great deal of skill in Japanese industry still lives in the hands and eyes of the people doing it, passed on person to person. Capturing that work as training data for physical AI, before it is lost, is our core business.
Our first focus is manufacturing. Factory processes such as bending, gas cutting, plate fabrication and welding, machining, industrial painting and woodworking are available for capture, and construction comes next. What we bring is not a fixed set of industries but the ability to source a worksite in Japan that matches a given specification, clear the rights, and record there.
To date, one site has agreed to filming: a factory producing steel water pipes and formed fittings, where the work includes manual welding and gouging. We are preparing a sample collection there.
Our starting point is always the same: not at a desk, but at the worksite. We intend to remain a company that connects the worksites of Japan with technology.

Shion Seki
Became a founder in his final year of high school
I am Shion Seki, CEO of Chuo-Sogo Inc. I became a founder in my final year of high school, and I run this company today.
We think we are at the start of the period in which AI moves into the physical world. What that period will lack most is data that captures skilled work as it is actually performed. Recording the skills still held on Japanese worksites, before they are lost, is work we believe is worth doing now.
We started with manufacturing, but we are not tying ourselves to one industry. Given a specification, we look for a site in Japan where that work is done, clear the rights, and record there. Taking on that whole path is how we see our role.
We are a small company. That lets us move quickly and keep our commitments small and concrete. Please feel free to get in touch.

Founder of Chatwork
Toshiyuki Yamamoto, founder of the business chat service Chatwork (now kubell), sits on our board.
He built a service used across small and mid-sized companies in Japan from the ground up and took it through to a public listing. That experience now feeds into how decisions are made here. We are a young company, and his input goes into building it on a sound footing.
